PRACTICAL CARBINE


PRACTICAL CARBINE is an eight-hour course intended to provide the student the fundamentals for using the carbine for defense. Students will be introduced to:


* proper weapon safety,


* gun-handling skills as well as,


* marksmanship and shooting techniques to precisely engage targets from 3 yards and beyond.





Equipment Requirements:


* AR-15, Mini-14 or other quality carbine with carry strap


* Minimum 3 magazines


* 300 rounds of ammunition


* Eye and ear protection are mandatory


* Handgun


* Holster


* 50 rounds of ammunition


* Knee pads are recommended.




DEFENSIVE CARBINE


DEFENSIVE CARBINE is an sixteen-hour course designed to build upon the techniques learned in Practical Carbine course. This course will increase the ability of the student to engage targets through the use of cover and supported shooting positions. Students will be introduced to:


* shooting while moving and


* flashlight techniques.





Equipment Requirements:


* Are the same as Practical Carbine courses. Additional equipment includes:


* Quality flashlight


* Clear eye protection


* 500 rounds of ammunition for the carbine


* 100 rounds of ammunition for the handgun


* Knee and elbow pads are recommended.
